Use Cases

EH for AI Data Centers

Power, not chips, has become the binding constraint on data center growth. This use case shows how EH Energy fuel cells deliver fast, clean, onsite primary power behind the meter, bypassing multi-year grid queues. Systems run on natural gas today, with a clear path to hydrogen. Their near-instant ramp follows dynamic AI loads with far smaller batteries than other options need, and optional carbon capture and heat recovery are available. Capacity scales from 250 kW EH Energy Systems to EH Power Blocks and near-gigawatt EH Power Plants.

EH for Aviation

Aviation is the hardest transport sector to decarbonize. Batteries are too heavy, and hydrogen combustion still emits NOₓ. This use case explains how EH Energy's high power-to-weight fuel cell stacks power hydrogen-electric flight while emitting only water. The range runs from single-kW unmanned aircraft and eVTOLs to regional aircraft powertrains. It covers EH Energy's two technology tracks: LT-PEM available today, and HT-PEM in development for larger aircraft. It also explains how stacks are tuned to each program and how EH Energy works with OEMs toward certification.

EH for Oil and Gas

Oil and gas sites often run on trucked-in diesel while flaring the gas they already produce. This use case shows how EH Energy's skid-mounted fuel cell systems turn pipeline, associated or stranded gas into clean, dependable onsite power. The same systems cut flaring and methane emissions. The gas-tight, Zone 2-capable enclosure suits hazardous areas, and few moving parts and remote monitoring make the systems a good fit for unmanned sites. Reforming produces a capture-ready CO₂ stream that fits operators' existing sequestration operations.

EH for Drones

Battery drones force a trade-off: fly longer or carry more, but not both. This use case shows how EH Energy's lightweight, air-cooled fuel cell systems remove that ceiling. Stack-level power density reaches 4.0 kW/kg, and refueling takes minutes instead of a recharge. The result is longer endurance, more payload and higher sortie rates. Low acoustic and thermal signatures suit ISR and defense missions, and a stack engineered for thin air holds its power at altitude. EH Energy partners with integrators from prototype through to series production.

EH for Manufacturing

Manufacturers face volatile electricity prices, grid capacity limits and growing pressure to decarbonize, while downtime remains extremely costly. This use case explains how EH Energy's behind-the-meter fuel cell systems deliver reliable onsite power and process heat through combined heat and power. Systems run on natural gas or hydrogen. Applications include prime factory power, backup for critical lines, peak shaving and industrial microgrids. Modular redundancy protects uptime, and optional carbon capture supports Scope 1 and 2 goals.
