Phil Potter

Potter is the Principal and Owner of Potter Ventures, which invests across energy, AI, digital assets and other new technologies. Potter came to EH Energy through the 2026 majority buyout with Kennedy, in which Potter Ventures was the majority investor. Potter Ventures now partners closely with EH Energy to help drive global strategy, growth and operations.

Potter is a Co-Founder and former Chief Strategy Officer of Tether, one of the world’s most valuable private companies and creator of the US-dollar stablecoin (USDT). Potter was also part of the investment syndicate that bought TRISO fuel company Standard Nuclear out of bankruptcy and led it to an IPO on NASDAQ 18 months later.

Potter began his career on Wall Street as a derivatives analyst at Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns. He built electronic-trading technology firms and broker-dealers (Mercury Securities, the Dimension firms, Fusion Trading Solution) before entering the cryptocurrency sector and Co-Founding multi-family office Welara.
