Danny Knippen

Knippen serves as Head of Engineering at EH Energy. In this role, he leads the company’s engineering teams, product development and delivery, quality management and certification workstreams across all parts of the EH Energy Platform.

Knippen brings more than a decade of experience in automotive OEMs developing and certifying powertrains for major groups including DAF Trucks (a Paccar Company) and Liebherr. With a background that combines hands-on engineering, regulatory expertise and technical leadership, Knippen brings an industry-oriented approach to EH Energy's engineering strategy: developing high-performance fuel cell technology into safe, reliable, certifiable and commercially deployable power plant solutions.

Knippen is also actively involved in international fuel cell standardisation through the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), contributing technical expertise to the development of standards for fuel cell systems and hydrogen technologies.

Knippen holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Rotterdam University.
